Modelled on the GI’s jacket from the early part of the Vietnam War, (1964 specifically) the guys at Toyo Enterprises have replicated the densely woven poplin weave to create a super lightweight jacket that is naturally water-resistant yet performs superbly in the heat, as you can imagine. No detail has been spared on this reproduction, from epaulets, side adjusters and bellow pockets. The breast pockets are slanted, with bar-tacked reinforcements and pen slots. All buttons are urea, of course. The beauty of this piece is it is so versatile and can be worn by peacocking Pitti Uomo folk, vintage enthusiast and budding photographer alike.
NB: Other obvious archetypes exist.
